The Introduction of the Special Issue

The papers in this special section focus on the use of artificial intelligence, big data, machine learning, neuroscience and feature selection applications. Electronic devices and autonomous systems are widely used with their high capabilities contributing to human life. Recent studies are also benefiting from the advances in neuroscience and creation of brain controlled devices are valuable in terms of brain mapping studies and mental disorder diagnosis and treatment process. Besides, since there is a huge data with high resolution the speed and performance of algorithms and hardware are main field of study to expedite data processing. In order to contribute that emerging field big data, deep learning, feature extraction and feature selection steps are in the scope of recent high impact engineering studies. Designing, developing, and maintaining intelligent autonomous systems, brain computer interface applications that operate in real-world environments are worth appreciation. This special issue focuses on such studies, solutions, new methodologies and on ways to overcome the recent hurdles using methods from AI. AI applications could  be viewed as both a challenge and an opportunity. Addressing of possible problems being encountered in especially neuroscience studies will have long term impact and benefit.

All papers should be submitted via the Electronics Science Technology and Application submission system:

Submitted articles should not be published or under review elsewhere. All submissions will be subject to the journal’s standard peer review process. Criteria for acceptance include originality, contribution, scientific merit and relevance to the field of interest of the Special Issue.
